This is a 20,000 sq. ft. Commercial Office Building currently under construction in New Hampshire for Ames Performance Engineering. The overall design intent was to provide ample warehouse and shipping space for the companies large inventory along with the need to accommodate a large number of office personal. Aesthetically the client wanted a low-profile building that would blend into its semi-rural surroundings and featured plenty of natural light in both the office area and the warehouse. The photos here relate to Phase I of III. When all is said and done the entire footprint will be close to 80,000 sq. ft. A major design challenge was energy efficiency - so Tuscher Design Group utilized Structural Insulated Panels,a highly insulated roof system and a radiant heated concrete slab to create a building envelope that is both cost effective to construct as well as maintain year round. The major structural support system of the building was a Steel Frame with top chord bearing roof and floor trusses. Photos will be updated as construction continues so stay tuned!
